Inglorious SAG Awards

Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture:
INGLORIOUS BASTARDS
____________________________________________________________________
When watching a film I can almost determine who will be nominated by the middle of the story.
Christoph Waltz was the scariest, and most calm person ever. If you have seen this film, you know his character was a crazy Mofo and we are lucky that Hitler was in charge instead of him. lol
Outstanding Performance by a Male:
Christoph Waltz
____________________________________________________________________
My other favorite mentions who were nominated but didn't beat out Precious:
Diane Kruger

Eli Roth
(Not Sylar, or New Spock)

Fly Girl

Lady Gaga is officially cool as fuck!
In my imaginary world (where I have all tattoos, and a mansion on Delmar)
She stops by the ABC office on tuesdays after 2pm
to kick it with the Monarchs.

I really love watching stuff like this. I want to get back to my special effects work soon. But I have to focus on one craft at a time. Right now its fashion.

Maybe some special effects videos for Waiting for the DJ in the spring?. . .

Maximus by Beni

I almost forgot about the world of film making, as well did MadeMonarchs.
I came across this music video that just made me stare at African kids dancing.
I love it.

Please watch this preview below. The director is from my own home town University City, MO. He went to SLU and now attends DePaul University. He clearly has a message he is throwing out. . . Let it hit you. . .

Hamburger Eyes

This video is a documentary on the photographers who put together the Hamburger Eyes Magazine. The film was shot all on 16mm film and the photographers shoot with film as well giving the whole doc a retro/cinematic feel. It also features one of my favorite photographers Boogie, if you don't know who he is, google him....dope.

True Hip Hop Stories

Man Vimeo has to be the best place for underground/independent video and cinematography talent. While searching some vids I came across this mini series by a director named "D-Nice." Now its always great to see people of color excelling in what they do, but this is just flat out...DOPE! The sound. color, clarity, and creativity is just dope, not to mention the subject matter is take back for a lot of the older hip hop cats. I'll just just post a few of the series check out the rest on his page.

PS...He shot these on a Canon 5d MKII , THATS AN DSLR WITH VIDEO...crazy...

Stuff im feeling...

Okay so a week or so ago I made a post about low budget indie films and technology surrounding and it's capabilities. Well I would not completely consider Philip Bloom's work as "indie" because of some of his equipment, but hands down the man is a BEAST behind the camera. Oh yeah I also just copped out on a cam so MadeMonarchs.com will soon be live in HIGH DEFINTION, YEA!!! here's a link to Mr. Blooms vimeo for more of his videos http://vimeo.com/philipbloom
