Now im a big cinema fan but more then anything i like a good concept and execution of the concept. This Famous Stars and Straps skate vid is a testament to the fact that good cinematography + great concept + and even better execution comes together perfectly. Watch and enjoy...

From the Mid-West to the West Coast
Recently on Octavius's and Mik G's radio show (Waitin For The DJ) we had guest that included Will H., Prince Ea, Mic Young, A-Game, and Mc/Skateboarder Jabari Pendelton.

While the show went on I got a chance to talk with Jabari about some of the stuff he's doing. He's a St.Louis native currently out in the west coast skating for different brands and just grinding hard...*no pun intended.* Well turns out dude def has skills when it comes to skating check out this vid of him doing his thing....btw the intro is HECKA funny!
ps. we got some stuff we're collabing on too, so be on the look out for that coming up soon yall

Freebording
While scrolling through another one of my favorite sites , LimitedHype, i came across this video on FreeBording. Freebording is essentially a combination of skateboarding and snowboarding, made possible by a patented truck design from the guys at http://www.freebord.com/main.html . The video concept is obviously taken from the classic Tetris game, still dope none the less.

Soulful Sample

So west coast artist Dom Kennedy has this super cool mixtape titled Future Streets/Drug Sounds (download HERE). A lot of dope songs reside there but the BEST one is actually an intermission. lol. "HellaGood Intermission" is one smooooth track. If you don't bob yo head to this, you have NO groove and you can jump off a bridge (don't kill your self, but just try to injure a few bones). Check it out real quick:
Hellagood Intermission - DOM. KENNEDY
ANYwhooo....this track is so soulful that I just knew that it had to be a sample. Magically (lol), the other day, Octavius let The Skipper listen to this track and the first thing he said was "That's a skating song." (The Skipper is an avid skater if ye'n know...not ice skating, not roller blading, but 4 WHEELS! CHYEA! Skate King BA-BY!!!) He immediately took us on a journey through YouTube (not really because he pulled up the vid with no problem) and showed us this skate video done here in St. Louis. Sure enough.....there was that soulful beat:
Now all I need for yall to do is let me know who actually did that original song!!! YES!! RESEARCH PARTY!!!

Skills on Wheels!
Me and my family have recently gotten back into skating and one of the biggest skate events St.Louis hosts is "Skills On Wheels." People from the East coast to the West Coast come to rep their cities and have fun. This year was huge with at least 600+ people in the building and probably 200 or more skating at once. Here are some videos from "08" that gives you an idea of what goes down.
