Karlie Kloss (born August 2, 1992) is an American model and ballet dancer. Kloss was born in Chicago, Illinois, her family moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1992. She is widely known for her runway walk and stare.
Kloss was discovered at a charity fashion show in St. Louis.[1] In 2007 she signed with Elite Model Management before controversially moving to NEXT Model Management in January 2008.[2] She has been in advertisements for Nina Ricci, Gap, Pringle of Scotland, and American Eagle. She has walked for numerous designers including Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Givenchy, Gucci, Valentino and Versace. Kloss has also had an editorial in Italian Vogue shot by Steven Meisel. Kloss has also appeared on the cover of American Teen Vogue.[3] She was also the face of See by Chloe, but was later replaced by Taryn Davidson.
