I find myself up at all hours of the night more and more now-a-days, working on everything from videos to graphics to all kinds of stuff. So every now and again I take time out to just search the web with no real goal in mine. While randomly searching you can come across some pretty crazy stuff and some pretty good stuff such as the video below. I've had to have listened to this track at least 15 times this morning, it's ill, that's all I can say. It has this slow jam smooth vibe, with a nice kick of funk when you hear the boards chime in. Ok I'm going to stop before I begin to ramble, but random accidental finds are AMAZING! lol enjoy...

REASON WHY FREDDY KRUGER IS A BITCH

Random?....... I bet thats what you all are thinking right now. I have to get this off my chest though because it has been bothering me for a very long time and since another Freddy Kruger film is about to drop, it reminded me of how much BITCH is inside of him.

Here is a quick scenario of me wanting to kill someone while they are sleeping:

Me: AY CURTIS!

CURTIS: WHAT MAN! IM ON THE TOILET!

ME: MAN IM GON' KILL THAT NIGGA ROGER TONIGHT

CURTIS: WHY TONIGHT?

ME: CUZ I KNOW HE GON' BE SLEEP AROUND 11:30

CURTIS: MAN YOU THE HARDEST NIGGA WALKING THESE STREETS. WHY YOU WANNA KILL 'EM WHILE HE'S SLEEP?

ME: *BLANK STARE*

CURTIS: (under breath) HOE NI&&A

(CURTIS AND ROGER ARE FUNNY NAMES TO ME)

See how that works?..Even your very own best friend wouldn't condone that. What's really crazy about the whole thing is, not only is he killing people in their sleep but it's the way he kills them. Cutting there heads off, stabbing them in the back, chopping chicks tits off (not really but most of the chicks he kill are always naked.) When you are sleeping and having a quality dream, you don't know what's going to happen, but you sure as hell don't think you will be slashed! Still I think I bring up a very good point about this so-called hardcore killer from Elm Street. Fuk yo set fool! I bet he couldn't mess with the crackheads from Grand Ave (hoodest street in St. Louis) in their sleep. They would go crack pipe on his ass. My point is.....if you are going to kill someone, and you are this insane killer that wears a Cosby sweater from hell, at LEAST have the balls to attempt to kill while they are awake watching American Idol or something...not when they just got done smashing a big ass fish platter from Captain Ds and have the "itis" (click here to find out what "itis" means).

Process: Red Wing Boot Company

One of my new found passions is seeing how things are created, or the process behind some great ideas come about. This video on Red Wing, by Complex Mag, gives an in-depth look into how their signature boots are created from start to finish.

All in the visuals...

Sometimes while on the computer i'll spend hours upon hours just searching through random sites looking for things that grab my eye or peak my interest. In doing that I may have inadvertently turned myself into one of those people that has the attention span of like a 3 yr old lol. With that said when looking through videos and stuff the visuals have like 20 seconds (or less in most cases) to grab my attention #dontjudgeme.

With this video from Curt@ins, "Night of the Living Dope" it grabbed my attention from the jump, this video has given me hope that the artistic/creative quality that commercial media once had is coming back to the forefront. The mixture of camera play, lighting, and mixed media give an amazing result to very simple video at the root. And by the looks of it,it seems that this video could have been created on a very reasonable budget. Below are some screen shots from it that are parts that caught my attention.

Anytime I see an effect like this it always reminds me of Johnny Cage from Mortal Kombat from some reason. Lol, when I was younger I used to think you could do that for real and that you just have to move fast enough, #activeImagination.

The two shots above are probably my favorite parts of the whole video because I'm a huge fan of mixed media/mediums. The combination of illustration with live video is simply put, DOPE! Not only that, but the emotion in the eyes throughout also add some comical value overall...anywhoo if you want to check out the vid for yourself check it out [HERE]

If its one thing i digg more then dope products/design, then it has to be the process behind the making of it. This video takes you in a little more in depth then what you normally see when it comes to seeing how collaborations and shoes come about. Btw her studio looks pretty freaking ill, i cant wait till have my money right to get my spot looking the way its need to be....anywhoo the cinematography in this vid ILL as well. Its reminiscent of more of documentary style shooting, wait till i get my money right....ooo ooo oooh ....lol excuse that last part.

What do you get when you blend a dope song and amazing visuals?? Muhsinah's video for her song Rediscovered.... It may be short but it has some better cinematography then i've seen full length music videos...Really puts things into perspective like what really holds your value....Idk maybe im just rambling lol...anywhoo check it out...

mark my words, BJ The Chicago Kid is what R&B has been waiting for... as a long-time r&b fan, i can't help but be excited about what this cat brings to the table. His music has that soulful sound like d'angelo, raphael saadiq, the "confessions" usher (not usher's new shit that's kind of commercial), and maxwell. it's that music that will make you play the cd until it skips... download his mixtape "The New Beginning" here to find out for yourself!
