Original Gangsta XII/XIII

(LEFT) The Air Jordan 13 (XIII) Original (OG) - Flints (Navy / Carolina Blue - Flint Grey - White) was released on February 14, 1998 and retailed for $150. They feature a white / blue /grey upper, whichis seen a lot on Air Jordans, and goes very well together. The blue portion features an underlying 3M reflective material which shines when hit by light, which will definitely turn heads. The outsole is a dark grey color with white inserts, which feature a modified version of the herringbone pattern, which provides great traction on the hardwood. The shoe is modeled after the paw of a black panther. The green hologram at the heel represents the eye of the animal, while the bottom represents its paw. They are really beautiful shoes, with flowing lines, and are very organic. Other specifications include a hidden quick lace system, carbon fibre sheath, holographic eye, and Zoom Air insoles.

Jordan XII and XIII

(RIGHT) The Air Jordan 12 (XII) Original (OG) - White / Varsity Red - Black was released in January of 1997, and retailed for $135. It features a white, black and red colorway. A small detail that’s really nice about the shoe is the way the creators wrote “23″ on the tongue, by actually spelling out the “2″, so it says “TWO 3″. The shoe’s stitching is reminiscent of sun rays, as the shoe is modeled after the Nisshoki, which is the Japanese rising sun flag, as well as a 19th century womens dress boot. The red portion features a lizard print design, reminiscent of the Air Jordan 2 (II). Besides that, the shoe features specs such as leather uppers, carbon fiber sheath and Air sole, as well as a quick lacing system.

I think it's amazing how over the last few decades shoes have become a lifestyle for hundreds of thousands of people all around the world. I messed up and said "Tennis Shoes" the other day, and somebody in the store looked at me funny.

The Sneaker industry is very different than other "collector markets". It has gone from the comfort purposes of sports all the way to the runways of Louis Vuitton. Sneaker Culture looks like it's not going anywhere and the older it gets the more prjonounced from other collectibles they will be. . .

Imagine the day when a person will be able to walk around in some OG jordan's when I'm an old swaggalicious senior, and their shoes date back 50 years, and they're still functioning and fashionable, by that time the roman numeral Jordan's will be considered vintage couture sneakers and cost thousands. Isn't that Swaggatastic?

So, this pic is awesome for several reasons, and not just because I am a part of it. It is absolutely amazing how fashion repeats itself, and will continue to repeat itself. I can only imagine what my future children will be into when they are teenagers and young adults. I can't wait until the day when I can say "We wore that when I was your age!" Dope pic, dope sneakers, Dope PERIOD. I LOVE i am...SNEAKY!!!, by the way.
