. . . I used to talk bad about HBCUs [Historically Black Colleges and Universities] and how hood and entrenched they are in their own culture. Every one knows I've always been about enculturation and diversity so the all black wasnt for me.

BUT I have to confess I long for the seriousness, prestige, and immensity they put toward their Homecoming celebrations. A black homecoming is a seperate entity apart from all other universities and it is something they hold dear. Even here in St. Louis where you could almost say that the HBCU way of life is slightly smothered by a jesuit university surrounding it [SLU] they still do the dam thang!
